What F.R.O.G. Means to a Three Year Old
Ask almost any child at LL&L Learning Academy what F.R.O.G. means, and you'll get a proud answer, usually at full volume: "Forever Rely On God!"
It's one of the first faith lessons our little ones learn, and it's a great window into how we teach faith to children who are still learning to tie their shoes.

Faith in child sized words
Three year olds don't need theology lectures. They need simple, true words they can hold onto. "Forever Rely On God" is one of those. In our classrooms, it sounds like:
"You're feeling scared about the thunder? We can talk to God about it. He's always with us."
"Let's say thank you to God for our lunch."
"That was hard, and you kept trying. God made you brave."
We pray together, sing together, and read Bible stories at a level little hearts can understand. Faith isn't a subject we squeeze in. It's woven into how we comfort, celebrate and correct.
Christian, and not tied to one church
LL&L Learning Academy is unapologetically Christian, and we are non denominational. We aren't connected to one specific church, and our families come from many different backgrounds. Some are at church every Sunday. Some haven't been in years. Some are just curious.
If you want Christian values for your child but you're worried you won't "fit" at a faith based school, please hear this: you're welcome here. We won't quiz you on your beliefs at the door. We'll simply love your child, teach them that God loves them too, and partner with you as their parent.
Why it matters so young
The early years are when children form their first ideas about who they are and whether the world is safe. When a child learns at three that they are known by name, loved by God, and never alone, that becomes a foundation for everything else, from trying new things to bouncing back from a hard day.
It's also why the star in our logo is the most important icon of all. It stands for Jesus: wonder and hope, at the center of everything we do.
Ask your child
If your little one is already with us, try this tonight at dinner: ask them what F.R.O.G. means. Then ask them what it means to them. Their answer might surprise you. It usually surprises us.
With love and faith,
